Getting started
MyFlightDue claims the compensation airlines owe you when a flight is delayed, cancelled or overbooked. You tell us what happened, we take it from there.
What we do for you
Under European and British passenger rights, an airline owes you a fixed amount when it disrupts your flight and the cause was within its control. Airlines rarely pay without being asked properly. We check your flight, prepare the claim, send it to the airline, follow up and, when the airline pays, transfer your share to you.
- Check · we look up the real flight data and tell you what you can expect before you file anything.
- File · one form, eight short steps, with your flight details filled in for you whenever we can.
- Follow · a tracking page shows where your claim stands, and we email you at each milestone.
- Get paid · the airline pays us, we keep our fee and send you the rest.
Who can claim
Your flight must have departed from the EU or the UK, or arrived there on an airline based in one of those places. It must have been:
| What happened | What counts |
|---|---|
| Delay | You reached your final destination 3 hours or more after the scheduled time. |
| Cancellation | The airline cancelled the flight and told you less than 14 days before departure. |
| Denied boarding | You had a valid booking, showed up on time and were refused a seat against your will. |
Bad weather, strikes by airport staff or air traffic control and other events outside the airline's control do not give a right to compensation. A technical fault with the aircraft usually does. When in doubt, file the claim: the check is free and our team reviews every file.
How much
The amount depends on the distance of the flight and the regulation that applies, never on your ticket price. Every passenger on the booking gets the same amount.
| Regulation | Per passenger |
|---|---|
| EU 261/2004 | €250 up to 1,500 km, €400 up to 3,500 km, €600 beyond. |
| UK 261 | £220 up to 1,500 km, £350 up to 3,500 km, £520 beyond. |
What it costs
Nothing upfront. Checking, filing and following up are free. When the airline pays, we keep 25% of the compensation and send you the rest. If the airline never pays, you owe nothing. The rate agreed when you submit never changes afterwards.
